Our faux leather is compatible with heavy-duty domestic sewing machines as well as industrial machines. If you have successfully worked with faux leather or vinyl before, you will have no problem with Simply Classic's faux leather. No matter what machine you use, a walking foot will give you the best outcome.
We make every effort to reduce bulk in our patterns, but you are responsible for knowing the capabilities of your machine.
Absolutely! The subscription box is a fantastic way for confident beginners and experienced bag makers to try different materials, styles, and techniques.
Our sewing patterns feature detailed instructions and full-color photos for every part of the bag making process. You will also get access to an exclusive video tutorial that walks you through each step. If you run into any problems or have questions, we are always here to help!
The only materials not included in each box are thread, stabilizer, and any materials that are optional for the pattern. As with any bag project, you will need basic sewing tools and notions such as scissors, rulers, a cutting mat, and leather needles. You will also need access to a printer in order to print your PDF pattern.

As of March 2026, subscribers who pay quarterly have the flexibility to skip a shipment or pause their subscriptions. Please pause or skip before the 1st of the month (March, June, September, and December). Click here to view and modify your account.
Subscribers who paid for one year up-front do not have the option to skip a shipment.
Boxes are shipped out every 3 months. If you sign up after the shipping period has ended, your first box will be sent the following season. The shipping periods are:
Spring Box (Q1): March 15–31
Summer Box (Q2): June 15–30
Autumn Box (Q3): September 15–30
Winter Box (Q4): December 15–31
Subscription boxes are only shipped during these dates.
Yes, as of March 2026, all subscriptions will renew automatically. To manage or cancel your subscription, click here.
If we have any leftover boxes remaining after the subscription period, they will be available for up to one week while supplies last. Standalone boxes cost $95 plus shipping.
Please note that most quarters, boxes sell out before we have the chance to offer them as one-time purchases. To take advantage of 20%+ savings and to guarantee that you'll receive a box, be sure to subscribe.
